The network provides the path for increased collaboration and access to specialized equipment. For example, researchers are currently operating remote microscopes, telescopes, high speed computers and medical equipment using this type of network.

This network enables carriers to offer specialized network interconnection services to businesses that need to connect multiple branches more economically.

Health and wellness solutions

With the greater bandwidth capacity offered through its network, the VCFN opens doors to advanced technological health applications. Health professionals can now  “read” x-rays and other digital images scanned and transmitted in seconds from rural hospitals to specialists hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away. The VCFN can provide other health and wellness solutions including remote blood pressure readings and monitoring. This technology ensures service to a local area even during a personnel shortage.
